Potential Expansion of Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact Version 5.1: Leaked Details on Nordekalle Location and Liben’s Return

Potential Expansion of Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact's Version 5.1: Leaks Suggest New Location Nordekalle

There are hints that Snezhnaya might see an expansion in Genshin Impact’s Version 5.1, as suggested by recent leaks concerning the upcoming update. Currently, HoYoverse’s popular action RPG is progressing through Version 5.0, a significant patch that unveiled the region of Natlan along with its various contents, such as new Archon Quests, gameplay mechanics, Saurians, and different foes. The introduction of new Natlan characters in Genshin Impact 5.0 has also been noteworthy, as they bring entirely new gameplay dynamics to the forefront. However, attention is already shifting to Version 5.1, with beta tests underway.

An unverified leak, shared in a Reddit post, suggests that a new Snezhnaya location named Nordekalle will be mentioned in the Version 5.1 content. The leak includes translated dialogue from NPCs discussing Nordekalle. One NPC talks about hiring protection for a journey to Nordekalle, while another offers advice on conduct in the locale. References to a trading route imply a possible connection to Liben’s speculated return in Genshin Impact 5.1.

Rumored Snezhnaya Location in Genshin Impact 5.1: Nordekalle

Two Locations from the Nation of Cryo Already Confirmed

These dialogues don’t appear directly connected but seem related with some missing parts. The leaked text describes Nordekalle as being situated at Snezhnaya’s southernmost point, attracting individuals from all over Teyvat. It is suggested that Nordekalle is more neutral compared to other areas, as one NPC mentions opting to go there due to hearing about tensions elsewhere. This is the extent of what is currently known about Nordekalle in Genshin Impact.

Liben’s potential return has been leaked by HomDGCat, also shared on Reddit.

This marks the third significant Snezhnaya location referenced in the game. As noted by Genshin Impact Fandom, one of the earliest mentioned Snezhnaya locations has been known since the game’s launch in 2020, initially revealed during Mondstadt’s prologue quests. The Zapolyarny Palace serves as the seat of the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa, who rules Snezhnaya and her Fatui. Morepesok, a seaside village, is the second known location, home to Childe’s family.

Limited information is available about these two confirmed locations, beyond what the game has disclosed. Nonetheless, the list could expand if the Version 5.1 leaks regarding Nordekalle prove true. As the game approaches its final Nation of Teyvat before Snezhnaya, it would be logical for more key locations from the Nation of Cryo to be highlighted. Although Snezhnaya’s full release is anticipated in the summer of 2025, teasers like those in the Version 5.1 leak are fitting.

All Saurian Types In Genshin Impact 5.0, Explained

Despite the intrigue, the Version 5.1 leak should be approached cautiously. The information could be inaccurate, subject to alterations, or mistranslated. The forthcoming update is anticipated to be substantial, likely reintroducing Liben alongside various curiosities and heralding the arrival of Xilonen in Genshin Impact 5.1.
