Leaked Servant Mechanic in Honkai: Star Rail Could Revolutionize Gameplay

Leaked Servant Mechanic in Honkai: Star Rail Promises Major Gameplay Transformation

A recently leaked gameplay feature from Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 has the potential to significantly transform the game. Developed by HoYoverse, this turn-based RPG is currently in the early phases of Version 2.5, a crucial patch that continues the storyline set in Xianzhou Luofu. Here, the Astral Express crew participates in the Wardance Festival while attempting to recapture an escaped prisoner. The patch also introduces three new playable characters—Lingsha, Moze, and Feixiao. However, leaks are surfacing about future updates.

According to information shared by the leaker HomDGCat, a new gameplay mechanic centered around summons, referred to as “Servants,” might soon be introduced. This information was posted under the “Reliable” tag on Reddit. The leak suggests that certain characters will have the capability to summon Servants onto the battlefield. These Servants will function as independently controlled summons rather than fixed entities. Players will have the option to select their abilities when it’s their turn in the combat sequence in Honkai: Star Rail.

#### Rumored to Debut in Version 2.7

The leak indicates that, for now, Aglaea is the only character rumored to feature the Servant mechanics. Aglaea has been heavily leaked but remains unseen and unconfirmed. Additionally, Servants are reportedly exempt from abilities targeting “party characters” or “teammates.” They appear to be targetable only by abilities that mention “party targets.” With this specificity, the leak notes that only a few character abilities, such as those of Jiaoqiu (at E1), Ruan Mei, and Robin, can target them in Honkai: Star Rail.

HomDGCat’s leak also mentions that Version 2.6 will feature a change to the Rumor sub-blessing of Pure Fiction, paving the way for the inclusion of Servants. The leaker speculates that the Servants mechanic could potentially debut as early as Version 2.7, though there’s a possibility the blessing might be reused later. Players had a brief preview of what the Servants mechanic might entail during Version 2.4’s “Trailblaze: Friendship is Magic!” limited-time event, where they fought alongside Minicans.

In this event, players had the ability to control a Minican’s actions during battles, albeit with some restrictions on active attacks.

This experience might hint at what the rumored Servants mechanic could be like if implemented—assuming the leaks hold true. Currently, this information should be approached with caution, as it is subject to change and may not be accurate. Nevertheless, the mechanic has been the subject of leaks from various sources for some time, suggesting it could be an exciting enhancement to the combat system in Honkai: Star Rail.
