Reddit user Precedexamethasone recently shared their delight upon discovering a shortcut to Pelican Town’s beach, accessible by running beneath Leah’s house.
Despite having logged 300 hours in Stardew Valley, Precedexamethasone was unaware of this route and sought guidance from the game’s community. The shortcut was introduced in the 1.5 Update, and while other users kindly explained its relatively recent addition, many were equally astonished to learn of its presence.

#### Negotiating with Robin
While shortcuts in Stardew Valley might seem like a priority for players to obtain, unlocking them requires a significant investment of time. To access these previously unreachable paths, the Farmer must first fully upgrade their Farmhouse and complete every Community Center bundle before revisiting
Robin. The skilled carpenter will then offer a new “Community Upgrade” that enhances Pelican Town; specifically, it provides a better home for Pam and
Penny (if the Farmer hasn’t married her).
The initial Community Upgrade demands a substantial 500,000g and 950 Wood. After completing this, the journey isn’t over; a second Community Upgrade becomes available, costing a more manageable 300,000g. Completing this unlocks several shortcuts throughout the Valley, with the most popular one connecting Cindersap Forest to the Beach, as demonstrated by Precedexamethasone. Though not critical to the gameplay, it offers a wonderful quality-of-life improvement for seasoned players.
