Pro Skater 1 + 2 was a celebrated return to its roots, but the series has since become dormant following Vicarious Visions’ closure.
In Hawk’s initial discussion about the canceled THPS 3 + 4 during an appearance on andyTHPS on Twitch, he mentioned Activision had approached other unnamed developers to continue the series post-Blizzard’s integration of Vicarious Visions. When new THPS game pitches were presented, Activision chose not to advance with a new title, likely due to skepticism.
