Information from the leaker known as HomDGCat, later shared in a “Reliable” tagged Reddit post, reveals that the new boss in Version 5.1 will be named Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device. Per the leak, this enemy will have its Resistance boosted to 60% and introduce a unique gameplay mechanic that might constrain players’ team compositions. This mechanic centers on the frequent use of the Nightsoul mechanics, which can only be activated by Natlan characters in Genshin Impact.

The goal is to ascend and strike the cores energizing the Version 5.1 boss, significantly lowering its Resistances and enabling players to inflict substantial damage in Genshin Impact.
If accurate, a key aspect of the rumored boss’s mechanics will be inaccessible to characters outside Xilonen and Kachina, the sole members of the Children of the Echoes tribe in Version 5.1. Players using other Natlan characters may inadvertently activate Nightsoul mechanics, potentially facilitating the formation of the Solid Phlogiston pillars.
