The latest batch of Disney Lorcana cards has been unveiled, and if that wasn’t thrilling enough, details about the release date of the new set and its accompanying Starter Decks have also been disclosed. Fortunately, Ravensburger has confirmed several characters from iconic Disney intellectual properties that will feature in the upcoming set.
As revealed in the most recent Lorecast (via Twitch), the forthcoming Disney Lorcana set is titled Azurite Sea. This collection will spotlight glimmers of pirates and inventors from some of Disney’s most beloved films and series, with Illumineers embarking on a quest to mend The Great Illuminary. Among the confirmed characters for Azurite Sea are those from Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, and for the first time, characters from Big Hero 6 will make their appearance in Disney Lorcana. These include Baymax, Hiro Hamada, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Go Go Tomago, and Fred.
Disney Lorcana: Azurite Sea Release Date Announced
The upcoming Lorcana set is slated for release in November 2024. Alongside the character and title announcements for Azurite Sea, a specific release date has been provided. Azurite Sea will debut on November 15, 2024, in local game stores, Disney Stores, and within Disney Parks. A full release is scheduled to begin on November 25, 2024, and it will also be available through DisneyStore.com.
The Azurite Sea will launch with two Starter Decks: Ruby/Amber and Sapphire/Emerald, each priced at $16.99. Additionally, an Illumineer’s Trove will accompany the set, available for $49.99. New accessories for Azurite Sea include two playmats featuring “Elsa – The Fifth Spirit” and “Donald Duck – Buccaneer,” along with card sleeves and deck boxes displaying “Scar – Vengeful Lion” and the now-classic “Winnie the Pooh – Hunny Wizard,” touted as some of the finest Disney Lorcana artwork to date.

The announcements go further with the confirmation of a new Stitch Collector’s Gift Set. This set includes a Stitch-themed portfolio, four Azurite Sea booster packs, and a unique “Stitch – Alien Buccaneer” water foil promo card. The Stitch Collector’s Gift Set will be available on the same dates as Azurite Sea.
Overall, the latest Lorecast has unveiled a range of Disney Lorcana items to look forward to. It’s exciting to see characters from Big Hero 6 joining the trading card game, and fans will be pleased that a beloved character like Stitch will have his own gift set.
